Our Leadership
Jayant Sinha
Chair, School of Global Leadership
Shri Jayant Sinha is an Indian politician and former Member of Parliament for Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. He served as the Union Minister of State for Finance and later for Civil Aviation in the Government of India. A graduate of IIT Delhi and Harvard Business School, Shri Sinha has also held leadership roles in investment management and policy advisory. His tenure in public service was marked by initiatives to enhance India’s financial and aviation sectors.
Gautam Bambawale
Co-Chair, School of Global Leadership
Ambassador Gautam Bambawale is a senior Indian diplomat with a 34-year career in the Indian Foreign Service. He has served as India’s Ambassador to Bhutan and China, and as High Commissioner to Pakistan. He played a key role in strengthening India–US relations and was India’s first Consul General in Guangzhou.
Jaideep Mazumdar
Co-Chair, School of Global Leadership
Ambassador Jaideep Mazumdar is a distinguished Indian diplomat with over 35 years in the Indian Foreign Service. He has served as India’s Ambassador to Austria, the Holy See, Montenegro, and the Philippines, and as India’s Permanent Representative to the UN in Vienna. He has held key roles in the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of External Affairs of India. Most recently, Amb Mazumdar served as Secretary (East) at MEA in Govt of India.
Rupa Vasudevan
Founder and Chancellor, BEST-IU
Dr. Rupa Vasudevan is an educationist, sociopreneur, and visionary leader with over 20 years of experience in establishing institutions that provide holistic learning experiences. She is the Founder and Chancellor of Bharatiya Engineering Science and Technology Innovation University (BESTIU), Andhra Pradesh – Established in 2018 under the AP State Private Universities Act. Dr. Vasudevan is also the Co-Chairperson of the BEST Group (Gatti Valley Educational Institutions). Her commitment to education and social entrepreneurship drives her efforts to nurture future innovators.

Shri Bharat Lal is a distinguished retired IAS officer with over 32 years of service in various departments of the Government of India and Karnataka. He is the Chairman of Bharatiya Engineering Science and Technology Innovation University (BESTIU), Andhra Pradesh. His leadership in the Indian Administrative Service and his dedication to public service have significantly contributed to the development of the education sector.
